Have you ever wanted to meet other parents at Chabot?
Are you interested in expanding your social circle?
Then come to Chabot’s 1st Inclusion Potluck Picnic hosted by the Equity and Inclusion Committee.
Join us Sunday, October 9, 2016, from 11:00-2:00pm at Lake Temescal in the open field area. We want this picnic to truly be a community event where everyone brings something to the table… LITERALLY!
We will provide paper goods/napkins and we would love for you to bring a dish or snack to share.
If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to the Inclusion group at Chabot.
Hope to see you there!
Picture Day is coming up next week.
Check the dates below to see when your child’s turn will be.
• Thursday, Oct. 6, 9am-1pm: Kindergarten to 2nd grade
• Friday, Oct. 7, 9am-1pm: Grades 3 to 5
Flyers have been sent home with your students. Please be sure to look in your child’s backpack. There’s a small form to be filled out and returned on your child’s picture day.
If anyone did not receive a picture form from their student, there are some extra copies in the main office.
Here’s the overview about Oakland School Volunteers:
Parents can sign up here.
More information about the program can be found here.
- Parents / Guardians only need TB clearance as long as they are supervised by an OUSD staff member for the entire time that they’re volunteering
- Parents / Guardians wanting to work with students unsupervised (ex: one-on-one tutoring or driving students in a personal vehicle on a field trip) must complete the live scan clearance as well. Parents attending overnight field trips are required to complete this clearance. Volunteers who are fully cleared in this way will be given a badge and lanyard to wear while volunteering to denote their clearance level.
