Black History Month Events

Please join us next week for two special Black History Month events. On Wednesday, Feb. 24, there will be a special student performance, The History of Hip Hop, from 5:30 to 7 pm. Thank you to all the students and teachers who have volunteered to be a part of that performance. Dress rehearsals will be Monday and Tuesday afternoons, Feb. 22 – 23 in the Multi Purpose Room. The evening will include a potluck and book fair by Ashay By the Bay. For more information, please contact anusheh.warda@ousd.org. If you can’t make that event, you can see the performance at our school assembly on Friday, Feb. 26, at 2 pm. That same Friday is our African American Read In. For more information, contact celia.bermeo@ousd.org.

Auction Donation Deadline Extended to Tuesday February 16

The auction committee is still seeking auction donations. The deadline has been extended to Tuesday, February 16!

Interested, but stumped for ideas? The Graff/Helft family recently submitted four donations – one from each member of the family: Miguel donated a new iPod shuffle, Sam donated two Oakland’ A’s tickets, Avi (11 year-old Chabot alum) is offering 2 hours of tech support, and Rafael (Chabot 3rd grader) is offering to spend two hours entertaining your child (age 3-6) while you get work done around the house. Inspired? We’d appreciate your support!

Feel free to drop off any physical items in the Auction Box located in the School Office, or fill out this online form. We are also happy to arrange pickups – just email us here.
