Read-a-Thon Family Reading Night

Read-a-Thon Family Reading Night

Don’t miss the chance to hear Annie Barrows speak at this year’s Read-a-Thon Family Reading Night, Monday, May 6 at 6 pm.

Annie is an award-winning author of the beloved Ivy & Bean series, plus her newer Magic series, as well as several adult novels. Then pick up your signed copies to read at home. Please use the attached order form and place it in the envelope on the bulletin board in the school office by Thursday, May 2. Checks should be payable to Mrs. Dalloway’s.

20% of the pre-tax sales will be donated back to Chabot. Books will also be for sale the evening of the event, as long as supplies last.

Read-a-Thon Starts Friday 4/26

Read-a-Thon Starts Friday 4/26

Students will bring home Read-a-Thon packets with instructions and materials this Friday. They have two weeks to read as much as they can.

Parents, look for an email tomorrow from Chabot Read-a-Thon (via 99Pledges), with a link to your student’s online sponsorship page. Share the link via email and social media with family and friends to ask them to sponsor your child. All proceeds support our amazing enrichment programs.

For budding readers, time spent being read to counts! In addition to classroom prizes (student with most minutes read and student with the most money raised), the classroom with the highest average # minutes read per student wins a pizza party!

Download extra reading logs or check/cash sponsorship forms here, or pick up extras in the Library.
