Spring Auction

The Chabot Auction is a time to come together, celebrate and dance with our community, and fundraise for the school! There are two components to look forward to:

  • The Online Auction runs for one week, February 21-28, and is a chance to bid on all kinds of things from homemade cookies to special event parties to gift cards for favorite Oakland restaurants and retailers.
  • The Live Auction & Party is an adults-only social event featuring dinner, drinks, music, dancing, and a live auction for special items. Join us Saturday, March 2, 5-10pm.

KEY AUCTION DATES

Feb. 21-28 – Online Auction
March 2 – Live Auction Party

The auction contributes critical funds toward many resources at the school that would not exist without your support: enrichment classes like art, library, music, and science lab, direct student supports and specialists, psychologists, equity and inclusion programming, and many other things. Read more about the Chabot PTA, the programs we support, and reasons we fundraise.

The auction is for our entire parent and staff community with opportunities for EVERYONE to participate. The auction’s success comes from the community’s generous spirit and participation. 

Live Auction Party Details

5:30-6:30 pm: Enchanted Garden Cocktail Hour
6:30 pm: Dinner (Family Style)
– Roasted heirloom carrot salad with baby arugula, crispy quinoa, pepitas, and a Ras al Hanout viniagrette
– Wild mushroom rice pilaf
– Grilled green beans with crispy garlic and shallots
– Roasted butternut squash with smoked olive oil, dukkah, and confit garlic
– Sumac crusted chicken breast with house chimmichurri and grilled Meyer lemons

7 pm: Live Auction
8:30-10 pm: Dance party!

Volunteer to make the Auction a success

There are so many things to do for the Auction and we need everyone’s help to make it a success – from tech support to day-of help.

We are looking for items big and small, from vacation homes and tickets to sporting events and performances, to gift cards to local restaurants and retailers, professional services, arts and crafts, and more. Everybody’s participation is valued and every contribution is important.
