The annual auction is a school-wide effort that is the Chabot PTA’s biggest and most important fundraiser in the spring. Our goal this year is to raise $150,000 so we can continue investing in our dynamic enrichment programs — music, science, art, media, library, gardening, P.E. and Spanish — and ensure that they thrive.
Auction Success: Thank You, Chabot Community!
The 2013 Chabot Auction is now over, and we are still in the midst of our final tally, but all signs are pointing to an unquestionable success, with numbers decisively exceeding our fundraising goal. More importantly, the Chabot Auction is a testament to the generosity, leadership, and community-minded spirit of parents, teachers, staff, family, friends and local businesses alike. Because of you, we can provide funding for another year of enrichment programs — music, art, library, media, gardening, science, PE and kindergarten Spanish — that benefit ALL students at Chabot. A special thank you to EVERYONE on the extensive Auction crew — please see the list of names in the right-hand column — this was truly a team effort!
A Few Party Spots are Still Available!
A huge thanks to our party hosts for creating such a wonderful set of offerings this year. We have so many great parties coming up — and there are still spots available at some of them! This spring, you can join up with the Zumba or Crossfit parties, or snare a ticket for the Cinco de Mayo Fiesta, the Coed Table Tennis Tournament, the Kindergarten Cocktail Party or Moms Gone Wild! We even have a small number of seats open at the Summer Veggies Pickling Party, the Crafting Party at Walrus, and Ooh La La! Spa for Kids.
In the fall, you can still join your friends at THE Cocktail Party, the Party at Toast, the Holiday Party, or the Evening in Barcelona tapas party. Moms, there are still a few spots at The Night of Exotic Indulgences and at Cocktails & Stitches. Check the auction party page at the Chabot website to check dates & see who else still has room. Then contact Hilary Fox or Vickie Ma to sign yourself up!
Double or Triple Your Donation with Corporate Match
If you raised your paddle at the gala or made a cash donation, you could double or triple your gift if your employer offers a matching gift program! Find out if your employer offers a matching gift program by visiting www.matchinggift.com/chabotelementary. If your company matches, you may be able to double your corporate PTA Annual Fund donation, too. Don’t wait, as some companies put time restrictions on when they will match. Contact our corporate match chair Anne O’Neill if you need help or have questions.
