Come and bid farewell to two beloved teaching veterans, kindergarten teacher Nancy Kaminskas and second-grade teacher Janet Cohn, at their retirement party on Tuesday, June 14, from 4:30 to 6 p.m. in the Chabot Auditorium. Cake and sparkling juice will be served, followed by a short program.
After Nancy undergoes hip surgery this summer, she will spend her free time planning her wedding and spending more time outdoors. During what she calls “my life, part three,” Nancy plans to use her creativity and past experience as a fashion designer to test her entrepreneurial skills and bring her ideas to market.
Janet first came to Chabot in the late 1980s as a parent—both her son and daughter are graduates of Chabot—then later as a member of our wonderful faculty. She dreams of enjoying the warmth of Australia and New Zealand during our winter, and will tackle sewing and gardening projects in the meantime. “I’ve been here for a long time, and I will definitely miss the Chabot community!” says Janet.
